Installation of our bioethanol only suspended fireplace is much simpler than the wood burning alternative, the flue does not need to penetrate your ceiling as there is no smoke to expel, the ethanol burner is a clean burning fireplace, you just need adequate room ventilation to exchange the whole air in the room once every hour.
WARNING! Never refuel a bioethanol fireplace while there is an active flame or even when there is no flame but the burner is still hot. This is extremely dangerous and can cause serious injury or even death. Please wait for the burner to cool down completely before taking the tank out to refill with bioethanol fuel.
Wherever you choose to suspend your Zen Elegante 1200 Bio-Ethanol Suspended Fireplace, it will be visually in command of the room whilst simultaneously blending in. Our Zen Elegante 1200 Bio-Ethanol Suspended Fireplace is handcrafted from 4mm cold rolled steel and is able to rotate a full 360º. In a finish that is able to sustain heat up to 650ºc.
The Zen Elegante 1200 Bio-ethanol Suspended Fireplace includes the Zen Bio-Ethanol Burner which produces a large horizontal flame and can burn for up to 4hrs.

Warranty
All Zen Suspended Fireplaces come with a 2 year manufacturer's warranty. Your warranty period begin's from the date of delivery. This warranty is given in addition to consumer guarantees and does not exclude them.
We do not recommend installing in Alfresco areas that are exposed to the elements and are exposed to high moisture, morning frost/dew or heavy winds and rain. If the alfresco area is affected by moisture and wind consistently the paint finish will deteriorate quite quickly as the steel is not galvanised, it is not meant to be in contact with moisture or water. Take note if you live by the ocean, salty ocean spray will speed up this process and will erode the paint finish within months. Please check the location with us before proceeding with an order.
Affordability
Zen Suspended Fireplaces are the most affordable suspended fireplaces in Australia. We are able to achieve our competitive price point by designing for efficiency and manufacturing our fireplaces overseas. Graceful curves, efficient manufacturing and intelligent material sourcing enable us to develop the Zen Suspended Fireplaces at a substantial discount to our competitors without compromising on quality.
Flue
With the Zen Elegante 1200 Bio-ethanol Suspended Fireplace we provide 2000mm of single flue with the standard kit, this sufficient to suspended the fireplace from a ceiling height of 3000mm or less.
First Burns
Do the following BEFORE you light the fire for the first two to three times:
Ventilate: Open all doors and windows where the fireplace is located. Use a fan to move the air around faster.
Vacate: Leave the area when doing the initial burns as the heating process will release non-toxic fumes which may cause distress for children, pets or anyone with breathing difficulties.
- The initial burn should be for about 90 minutes. As the paint heats it will soften, even appear wet, and must not be touched with anything. Gradually, at the hottest spots, the paint will again appear dry. Extinguish the flame and allow the firebox to cool. When this process is complete, the paint will be ready for the next stage.
- A second and third, longer burn of around 120 minutes each will burn away the air-dry resin. You will know when this occurs because the process creates some smoke and odour. The nontoxic smoke is primarily Carbon Dioxide, but there are other residual components that make it smell bad and may cause physical distress for some individuals or animals. It will also displace oxygen, so we recommend a “ventilate and vacate” procedure which calls for open windows and fans during the burn-in process. Once more extinguish the flame and allow the firebox to cool.
